C&H Precision Weapons SWMP-RSH-975 Optic Plate Tabletop Review

The C&H Precision Weapons SWMP-RSH-975 plate is an upgrade plate for the Smith & Wesson Optics Ready/CORE models. If you aren’t familiar with Smith & Wesson’s Optics Ready M&P it comes with very frail plastic optics plates; for defensive uses I don’t want to rely on something like that. Since I knew about it going into the Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0 Compact Optics Ready I ordered my SWMP-RSH-975 optic plate, which is for the Trijicon RMR/Holosun 507c, shortly after buying the pistol itself. Unfortunately I pulled a dum-dum and forgot to snag pictures of the plate before the optic was installed… you’ll understand why I didn’t take it off for pictures in just a second (I apologize for the stock images).

To get things started, the fitment is as you would expect from C&H- Tight. C&H sends the plate with screws, a #BoomSquad sticker, some Vibra-Tite VC-3, the plate itself, and a card that tells you what gun/optic model the plate is for. You can see the plate being used on my M&P in the picture below.

While the fitment of the plate to the is tight, the screwhead diameters are too wide for the Holosun 507c and actually caused scraping as you’ll see in the pictures below. I contacted C&H via Instagram where they responded quickly telling me that they had gotten 10,000 custom screws to address the issue, and told me to email Buck. I sent an email to buck on xx/xx/xxxx but haven’t heard back from him yet, when I do I’ll let you all know what happens. Until then, the optic looks to be secured well enough to work.
